Built in the winter between 1902 and 1903 by ED and Mary Tillson, Dumbiedikes remains in our family today. The name comes from a setting in The Heart of Midlothian, a novel by Sir Walter Scott published in the 1880s.

Available for rent–2012

Dumbiedikes is available for rent for one to six weeks during the summer of 2012. The cottage has six bedrooms, two baths and a bunkie. It’s a 20-minute boat ride from the mainland.

Writer Roland Cilliers did a great job. For a better look, download the entire article as a PDF file.
